(Updated
February 29, 2008—The FAMOUS Tipsheet)™
The
FAMOUS tipsheet™ is Sandra’s most-requested document (after her book on
greeting card writing) and now is once again, streamlined and ready for
viewing. First introduced on the Writers Write™ Message Board, the FAMOUS
tipsheet™ is the perfect way to gather greeting card know-how, writing
advice and even a newly-revised, selected list of publishers to get you in
gear and motoring toward your goals. Sandra’s also added an abbreviated
section on where to find smaller and mid-size card companies.

Just the FAQs.
We tackle two new "sticky" questions that haunt writers...questions with no
easy answers. Our answers may not be easy, but they'll provide a
much-needed perspective. |

For Word.
Crocheting. Hearts.
Typing. Greeting Card Writing. What do they have in common? On the
surface, not much; but in Sandra’s life, a whole lot. Read their common

There’s a cottage with
window boxes, trailing ivy on the chimney and a doting Mom and Dad standing
over a bassinette. Our educated guess? What else but a new baby card.

Headlines and
By-lines
We'd like to share some of the headlines and bylines Sandra's had through
the years, both present and past. This current update includes two
headlines...the first from a "phone book quiz" published in an Island
newspaper and the second from an interview Sandra gave to a major in-flight
magazine. Amassing this info will take some time, so bear with us...and
enjoy the tour! |

Getting To Know You , as its name
suggests, is about the people...all those terrific people whose creative
contributions mean so much. Sandra will interview people just like
you--or maybe just like you hope to be one day--a working, "getting paid"
greeting card writer. |

The Files of Sandra Louden have

Who is Sandra
Louden? Sandra
Miller Louden is a veteran greeting card writer and author who has "been
there and done that" for the last 20 years. She's conceived this website
as a place to connect with writers and those who wish to learn about
greeting cards and other short, do-able types of writing.
What can you hope to learn
from this site?
Sandra's goals are specific
and totally geared to helping new--and seasoned--writers attain publication in
the world of greeting card writing. So, put your preconceived notions and
long-held myths aside, as you learn about today's creative realities in
the modern greeting card market.
Consider the following:
 | You do not have to
draw to submit verses to greeting card companies. |
 | You do not have to
write rhymed, metered verse (aka "poetry") to write for today's greeting
card companies. |
 | If you cannot name
at least five greeting card companies, you do not recognize the true
potential for the verses you have written and could easily sell in the
marketplace of ideas. |

We do
not--and shall never--forget.

While Sandra's site is free and offers many
great pages of instruction (again, judging by her emails), it is not
costless. So, while you’re perusing the pages of free advice,
interviews, tip sheets, FAQs and other tidbits, take a few minutes and
peruse the following affiliates. If you can use their products or
services, click on the link through my site. Everything helps.
We'll vigorously be updating this portion of the site, so check back often.
The revenue received from your patronage goes directly back in this site.
